    Castiel sighed softly in content as his ebony wings were touched for the first time in awhile. Rare raven feathers lent into the touch of his sons fingers gracing over their wingspan, the slender digits ghosting over their velvet touch. 

Cas chuckled as he looked over his shoulder, smiling sheepishly at the young man with a no. “I think they like you.” He teased.

There was a sadness in his eyes now. “So willing to throw your life away for others. I can’t let that happen again. It’s my job to protect you….it’s my job to see you be safe. I-….I won’t let you do this even if it means trying to save me.”
