@jackredfieldwasmyjacob so in terms of that 'not picking up for scams' thing, I suppose that's valid with a regional variation (e.g.: idk how common these scams are in other countries, but scams over the phone have become increasingly rare in Bulgaria, as opposed to text or email scams)

though I was mostly referring to a tendency I've seen online in the past 10 years where everyone just unanimously agreed they hate talking on the phone and therefore, never pick up the phone

whereas to me, in my mind, a phone call gives everything a sense of urgency. I get anxious when I have a missed call because all I'm thinking of is "SHIT! What happened?!" and I need to know immediately, especially if I'm expecting something.
