This may sound mean but to preface this I’m a trans man.

I honestly don’t understand why there’s no artists that draw Jack and Dave as Cis men anymore. I didn’t mind it as much when it was only a handful of people who drew them as trans but now it’s literally every single person making them trans. At this point they feel more like ocs instead of what they are in canon. I understand a lot of this comes from a place of projection but I really miss seeing canon versions of these characters.

I mean, me personally, im a fictionkin. That's just how I remember myself, but i do kinda miss seeing the canon characters too. I should draw them more

Dave is not comfortable with being a man and has toxic masculinity in a way basically in dsaf 3 when jack tells him about the female nightguard dave starts being misogynistic about this even stating she has an extra hole to stuff robotic parts into which on a scale is werid to say

The 1940 - 50s were infact misogynistic towards women and considering that he grew up during this periods he was probably taught these harmful stereotypes pf women and thus is like this. At the same time he also states he isn't half bad of a gal at his age which can also show his feminity in a way and his denial

thus dave is a misogynistic man who is in denial of his homosexuality and his feminity due to the environment he grew up in

Uh i have many many headcannons for dave which im gonna introduce right now

Dave cant actually properly take care of himself. I headcannon dave with bpd( borderline personality disorder ) and as seen in the game he acts impulsively this is why i think he cant actually take care of himself decently due to his obsessive nature and lack of care, infact he doesn't even own a house and purely lives at the fazbunker at fredbears ( im not saying all folks with bpd can't take care of themselves im saying dave cant take care of himself due to his bpd not being cured or helped with)

Dave knows asl to scare deaf children jack has very much questioned this

Dave is a closeted pansexual however the closet hes in is made of glass
