In angels and demons au,how did the 3 kids meet?

I don’t really have that part of the story fully fleshed out yet but I have some things figured out. I want to be really careful with their storyline since they are adoptees and foster children.

Leon and Kimmy met through the foster system. Leon actually has living parents and is in contact with them but while they were traveling through the human world, his parents got taken.

Kimmy takes care of Leon as though she was an older sister to him. Kimmy herself doesn’t have contact with her birth parents and doesn’t really know who they are.

Jackson has a living family member, his grandfather, and was living with him for a while but he ran away due to him uncovering something disturbing. He came across one of the monster portals and ended up in the same neighborhood as Kimmy and Leon.

They were grouped together as part of the Angel and Demon Guardianship program. Kimmy and Leon are very close with each other since they act like siblings and are friends already. Leon is nice to Jackson and always asks him questions, which Jackson finds endearing. However, Kimmy and Jackson do not get along. They constantly annoy each other, with Kimmy always being suspicious of and thinking Jackson is a “nerd” and Jackson being annoyed by how loud and abrasive Kimmy is.
