The latest mystery around here is this vintage restaurant plate. It was made by Jackson China and carries an Albany, GA Hotel and Restaurant Supply Co. stamp on the back. The mystery lies in trying to figure out what specific restaurant served this dish. At first glance you might think that’s an easy one given the makers marks on back and the big pool of restaurantware afficianados. But alas, it’s a puzzle yet to be solved as it appears to have no other companions in the whole entire world. Or at least on the internet anyway;) Thats okay though. This is where the fun starts and the daydreams begin. There is a plethora of probable eateries or lodging establishments that this charmer might have hailed from. Perhaps it was a pretty little Southern cafe or a roadside motor lodge. Maybe it was more fancy like a sprawling country house hotel or a splashy city b+b. Maybe it sat atop restaurant tables in Savannah or Charleston or Atlanta. Or maybe it was made for the railroad and criss-crossed the country while serving lunch in a floral dining car. Oh the possibilities. For now, this one story’s is to be continued... - - - #restaurantware #greenfloral #hotelware #albanyga #jacksonchina https://www.instagram.com/p/ByYAEZrgapn/?igshid=10g1p53r2knp
