Babies as young as 8 years old taking their own lives because some asshole kid thought making fun of someone who was "different" was acceptable. There is power in words, and it doesn't always end well. These subjects, bullying and self esteem, need to be discussed everyday, year round. At home. At school. With friends. Skin color, teeth braces, hair, sexual preference, the arts, etc are a few things that caused this shit. Shit that doesn't even matter. Bullying isn't a new trend for discussion, but in this technological age, bullying has a new life, cyber. They can not escape it. Everything you say and do is left for the world to judge. Treat your children to be kind. YOU be kind. Small acts of kindness may be enough to save a life.
