Reflection
The beginning of Spring allows time and energy for reflection and re-organizing. So, that is exactly what I’m doing.
My new EP, Invasion: A New Potion, has been released. The EP Release Show at Rockwood was on point, and we even premiered the “Dance With You” music video at Rockwood for the after-party.

This EP is very special to me. After my first album, The Story of The Rose Movement, I learned many lessons on how I want to produce my music--what to write and the different strategies I need to implement. Every song in Invasion: A New Potion was thoughtfully crafted to bring the eclectic essence of my artistry and timeless lyrics and poetry to uplift and inspire.
It starts off with “Dance With You” which has that NYC house dance feel. From soulful synths to tribal congas, this song is about real love and joy. Check out the official music video and fall in love with the song:
Then, we have “Circle” which is the song of life. I went for an atmospheric piano ballad after being inspired by cinematic music and film scores. Importantly, I wanted to tell a spiritual message of light and of life.
Lastly, we have “Invasion” which brings us home to the The Rose Movement. If you remember in the music video of the anthem track, “The Rose Movement,” we created a rose love potion. Well, this song is the continuation. There’s dubstep, a drumline, and hip hop because I even get to flow.
The EP Release show was SO much fun! We had the cast of “Dance With You” there. We had my incredible band again. I work very hard to make my live shows the best and better every time. Things are just getting better and better.
My journey with music has been long. I cannot remember not ever having it in my life. No matter how long I’ve been doing this, it keeps calling me--keep creating, keep singing, keep inspiring others. There’s no knob to turn the volume down on the voice of destiny. Now, I’m hungrier than ever to make it to the top and give more to the world. Beyond composing, singing, and songwriting, music has taught me countless skills in life. I feel stronger and wiser because of that. For that alone I am grateful.
So what’s next? Give the light of music to the world. Continue to improve my skills. Stay hungry and hustle it out.
The Rose is Yours, Jaclyn Rose
