jacob/tali - the level of tension they share in their first “welcome to cerberus, introduce yourself to our AI please” scene, god. it's so awkward and funny. BUT what if it's something that they could transform and work on? the banter would be something, the ust, the "will they/won't they" of it all!
jacob/jack during me2 with a very angry at cerberus jack and a jacob who is thinking he has to walk away from cerberus. when he does, it's with her, and not as a lover, as a friend. then it's two bffs against the world, and later it's "your students are my scientists, your scientists are my students" - basically two people who take care of each other and who people rely on
jacob/steve - "i’m getting to know you, i feel very comfortable around you, oh you make me laugh you’re quite clever, i can’t wait to see you again, oh god it’s a crush, what do i do what if he doesn’t like me back??? i can't go through this again, what if another person i care about leaves me?” but he never leaves. he stays.
jacob/thane - bored jacob in me2 starting conversations with thane like "hey krios, have you ever-" and suddenly it's not just about swapping stories about missions or fights, it's intimate and jacob cares so much about him he might be in love really
jacob/gianna in an undercover AU where everything that could go wrong goes very wrong but there is banter, kissing, action scenes!
