*Jacob and Evie stand in the crowds watching the Queen drive by*

Jacob: *raises bottle of beer* God queen the save!

Evie: *annoyed* Jacob how much have you been drinking?

Jacob: *slurring his words* Just a little in honor of the queen.

Evie: You should have stayed sober for such a momentous occasion!

Jacob: *looking very serious* But, someone’s gotta drink to her health! How do you think she managed to live this long!

Evie: *exasperated* You’re drinking habits have not kept the queen alive all these years!

Jacob: *Takes a swig of beer* Best not to risk it!

A St. Patrick’s Day Observation

Evie: Jacob’s a lot like a leprechaun, don’t you think?

Henry: *confused* What? How is Mr. Frye like leprechaun?

Evie: Well, he causes mayhem wherever he goes, and he enjoys inconveniencing others for his own amusement.

Henry: I see your point, Miss Frye. Perhaps your brother is indeed a leprechaun.

Evie: *shrugs* That or he’s just a changeling.

Christmas Surprises

Jacob comes sprinting into Evie’s train car.

Jacob: *jumps on Evie’s bed* Wake up! Wake up! It’s Christmas!

Evie: *mumbling sleepily* What time is it?

Jacob: It’s Christmas time!

Evie: *peers at clock* Jacob, it’s three o’clock in the morning, go back to bed.

Jacob: Don’t be such a spoilsport!

Evie: If you don’t leave me alone until at least 7 o’clock, I will wake you up at three tomorrow morning, when you’re hungover from too much Christmas drinking.

Jacob: *slinking away* Fine, I’ll wait. *pauses at door* Oh, and Evie...

Evie: *snaps* What?

Jacob: *grinning cheekily* Happy Christmas!

Happy New Year!

On New Year’s Day:

In a London Police Station

Evie: What did you do this time?

Jacob (in cell with several Rooks):I didn’t do anything!

Evie (Turns to Police Officer): Excuse me, could you tell me what this idiot did?

Police officer: He was found drunk with several other men, lighting fireworks outside of Buckingham Palace. He claimed he was trying to get a reaction out of the Queen’s Guard.

Evie(Rolling eyes at Jacob): You are a child!

Jacob: Are you still going to bail me out?

Evie: What do you think?

Jacob (sheepishly grins): Happy New Year, sis!

Happy (Belated) Bonfire Night!

I meant to post this yesterday, and forgot! Whoops!

Jacob and Evie are standing by a big pile of wood with some Rooks.

Evie: Did you remember make the Guy Fawkes?

Jacob: Of course I did! Rooks, bring him out!

Some of the Rooks open a wooden crate and pull out a straw dummy with a bright red Blighter jacket and an awful mustache.

Evie (squinting): Jacob, that doesn’t look like Guy Fawkes.

Jacob: It’s Crawford Starrick, idiot!

Evie (still squinting): It doesn’t look like him either.

Jacob: Well, who do you think it looks like then?

Evie: If you removed the rat from its face it would be a good likeness of you.

Yoga Poses

Jacob: *walks into room to find Henry and Evie doing yoga together* What the hell are you doing?

Evie: *glares at Jacob* It’s called Yoga, Jacob.

Henry: Yes, its very beneficial for the body. Would you like to join us, Mr. Frye?

Jacob: No thanks, Greenie, I’d rather not look like an idiot today.

Evie: Why don’t you stay for the next pose, and I’ll impress you.

Jacob: All right, entertain me, sis.

Evie: *smiling sweetly* the next pose is called the flying bird.

Henry: *looking confused* Miss Frye, I think your getting confused the flying bird isn’t...

Evie: *flips off Jacob* Isn’t this pose majestic?

Henry: *gasping* Miss Frye!

Jacob: ...I’d better leave I have a meeting with the...er...Rooks...

Henry: If you don’t mind me asking, how did you get that scar in your eyebrow, Mr. Frye?

Jacob: Ah, well, that’s a story, Greenie. It all started in an alleyway. And there were five other men, all armed and.....

Evie: *interrupts loudly* I threw a book at him when we were younger because he wouldn’t stop bothering me.

Jacob:.....

Henry:......*tries to muffle laughter*

Jacob: Oh, shut up, Greenie!

Childhood Nightmares

Young Jacob tiptoes into Young Evie’s room.

Young Jacob: *whispering* Evie?

Young Evie: *mumbling sleepily* What?

Young Jacob: I had a bad dream.

Young Evie: *sighs* Get in.

Young Jacob climbs into bed with Young Evie and snuggles up to her.

Young Evie: Now, shut up and go to sleep.

Young Jacob: Goodnight, Sis.
