@danysbooks has been on a nostialgia kick and reading a book from her teenage years, which really inspired me and I decided to pick up a book by my favourite childhood author, Jacqueline Wilson 😁 The Kiss is one I’ve had for years but haven’t read yet, and I’ll be honest with you, I’m having a lot of fun reading this. It has the middle school drama that I love so much in Wilson’s stories, the realness of the family situations and the slightly annoying but still lovable characters. Also, because I am reading it in Slovak and now I have a but more knowledge of language and translating, it’s fascinating to see the choices the translator made with the book.
