Jacques Tati - MON ONCLE, 1958
Jacques Tati could choose whom to 'sit' with. And instead of choosing like for instance the crowd-pleaser Marilyn Monroe, he wanted to be with the comic actors (from the old days) he related himself too, and got inspired by...so he never wanted to be a star in the Hollywood-sense of the word.
