this hazy head of mine || Jacques and Colton
Finally, Colton had arranged himself an appointment with a proper doctor, because these days the word 'bath' was making him feel ill and it had been almost a week since he and Tod had spoken. So, he trawled the internet, found a surgery, and decided to stomach the fees. His dad didn't really need the support any more, he decided. This was more important.
He was so nervous that he was punctual, and had to wait fifteen minutes whilst he waited for his name to be called. All the while he was fidgeting, unable to sit still. His leg bounced, he picked at his nails, tried not to let his breathing get too quick because if it did, he was sure he'd end up panicking. Colton hadn't been to a doctor in a while, and when he had, he hadn't been this bad. His shoulder was acting up again, and he found himself stretching in an attempt to alleviate the aching. When his name finally was called, he nearly jumped out of his skin, but got to his feet and cleared his throat, and followed the person who had summoned him. He was led to a door, and then knocked on it, and let himself in.
"Hi, uh, hello, doctor," he said, slightly breathy, with a small, very uncomfortable smile. Colton hovered in the doorway, waiting to be offered a seat or spoken to in some way.
