Red Velvet Dinner || Fire Shrimp
At least the storm brought something nice for a change. I mean, after the countless hours camping behind a nasty-smelling bar eating frozen boneless wings passed, it was good to think that Lumière got a nice date out of it! This Jacques fellow was not only very nice and attractive, but he also managed to heal Lumière's wounds. And did he mention attractive?
Right on time, the young man showed up at the door to the apartment he had been directed to. He was holding a very pretty red velvet cake, too! He hadn't prepared it himself. It was actually one of the consequences of the storm: Many of Mrs. Charmant's cakes had actually gone unsold, and he asked if he could take this one in particular because it looked delightful. After all, Lumière knew what his mother was good at, and that was baking. She was the absolute best.
After clearing his throat, Lumière knocked on the door, calmly. He stood a step back afterwards, and put on a pleasant smile. He was wearing a semi-formal button-up shirt and a pair of jeans, because he figured this was probably going to be a casual date. He wanted to give a good impression, of course, and not overdress.
