Daniel Jacques - When U Are
Daniel Jacques has just released his “Discovery Change Part 04″ - the second release off this series, that in the end can be seen as an album, as Jacques states here . It’s a pretty solid release and “When U Are” is one of my two favourites on it. It’s a simply stellar combination of very different factors. The samples, like taken from a nineties hip hop track, the slow grooving tempo but at the same time a kind of light tension. This tension unloads itself in the fluttering drums, which theoretically are a complete contradicition to the former and right that makes it so interesting. It is much more than a functional track, it is real music.
