I remember seeing a post on NP a few years ago about part of a manuscript Peter was working on – maybe an autobiography that was later abandoned? I searched the site but I couldn’t find it. Was there such a post, or did I dream it?

Hey! No, you didn’t dream it at all. This actually just came up recently when an Anon asked NP for Monkees book recommendations.

Peter did do a few interviews that were meant to be compiled into an autobiography, but unfortunately it never materialized. Excerpts of transcripts of the interviews were compiled by Iain Lee, and include Peter talking about accidentally seeing Phyllis Nesmith naked when he lived with her and Mike during the filming of the TV show pilot. 1.) Do you play any instruments? If so, what?~~ I bang on the drums

2.) are you superstitious?~~ Yeah, a little...Like when I put my shoes on, I always put the right one on first.

3.) What is your favorite movie?~~ The Wizard of Oz, Yellow Submarine, and about a million more...lol.

4.) choose a theme song for yourself. HELP! By The Beatles right now.

5.) what is the coolest thing you own?~~ My sanity....actually off the top of my head it would be an autographed copy of Yoko Ono's book Acorn.

6.) what’s the first album you ever bought with your own money?~~ The Beatles Second Album in 1964....okay, it was from my allowance.

7.) how do you like to dress?~~ Jeans and tee shirts, Chucks.

8.) are you scared easily? ~~ Yes! I hate to be scared.

9.) is there a major even who made you who you are today? ~~ Being born. I don't know, I've experienced so much in my life, it's hard to pin point one thing.

10.) do you have a crush on/love/are engaged to/are married to anyone?~~ I am married to my best friend. It will be 18 years on October 12th.

11.) what is the strangest text you’ve ever received? ~~ I keep getting weird texts from someone I don't even know, saying things like Come on over...why don't you text back? and other such stuff...I think it's a wrong number...but I don't text, so I guess they will be left to wonder.
