(2/?) Background: when she was young she met the famous botanist Camila Pereira, meting the women had quite an effect on Rosella leading her take a interest in botany and to become a botanist just like her role model.

(3/?) She decided to joined overwatch in hopes of making the world better and geting some excitement in her life, she asked to be put in eco-initiative and to be stationed in Brazi as that was where her role model was from, she got her wish and was stationed at Watchpoint: Manaus.

(4/?) she was out working with some dangerous plants in a rocky area when some rocks became lose and fell on her, she got most of them off of her as they were small but there was a rock on one of her arms that she couldn’t move so she was stuck out in the wilderness of the amazon, (5/?) three days had passed she knew that if she stayed any longer she would die so she had to make a choice: ether wait there and hope that her coworkers would find her or cut off the arm that was traped, (6/6) she chose to cut it off after she did that she looked around the amazon screaming for help at last her coworkers found her as she passed out, when she woke up she didn’t have one of arms but she sill had her resolve to fix problems in life and in the world. thx!! 

I would have appreciated things like these sent as submissions and not as five separate asks. Keeps things nice and tidy, and all that.

The backstory looks agreeable for the most part. Go into detail on her separation with her coworkers, because the situation you’ve written so far leads me to believe she was initially with her group, before branching away to carry her own experiments. You might want to identify the bit with the falling rocks leading to her entrapment, because rocks usually don’t move on their own. Specify as well her location in the forest. Not exact location, mind you(though that would be nice), but describe her surroundings, the terrain around her.

Also, this Camilla Pereira figure is quite interesting. What about this famous botanist did Rosella idolize? Where did she meet her? What was her experience?

Finally, there’s a couple of errors in mechanics. Not too bad, but please do a reread.

hey can i get some help with a oc that i'm making? she is a botanist who joined overwatch and got stationed at a eco-watchpoint near the amazon rainforest. any ideas to make her story more solid and interesting?

What you have right now is a very basic premise. It’s good so far, but a little bare. You can expand it with exploring the reasons behind her. What about botany got her attention? Why did she want to pursue it? Your answer can be anything general, but you can make it really stand out by making it about a major inspiration. This can be a person, a place, or an experience. Go through her development until the time she joins Overwatch. Don’t neglect this, but don’t emphasize it. It’s just to bridge the gap between two major points.

Next, why the Amazon? What connection does she have with the forest? Is it what she was looking for? And of course, go into detail on her experiences. She won’t be alone in that eco-watchpoint, and she certainly wouldn’t be shut in, unless for reasons unspecified. Give her development, especially if she isn’t native South American. Let her skin tan, let her learn a little Portuguese, let her build some strength in the rainforest. It’s all about making her look and feel at home in the eco-watchpoint. These would be best emphasized in her design, however.
