Devil in the details

Lucien had been up for the last few days. Since his samples had been ruined he’d had to use live subjects, pulling the blood from one directly into the other and then it was manual from there. Screams permeated the air in the room and surrounding area that he currently occupied. The wolf didn’t make it, but the dragon was holding on to life, if it could be called that. Time would tell if he’d have another powerful hybrid or the fruits of his labor would once again be unrealized.

The doctor had moved to his desk to document the steps he had taken and the different outcomes trying a theorized way this time around. If it worked it would give reason for retest as one experiment was never definitive and if Lucien was truly honest with himself he enjoyed it. Enjoyed inflicting pain on others and watching them suffer. He knew well the way of sedatives that would work on the supernatural and chose not to use them and, in fact, used items that would cause more harm at times. Especially with prisoners of war. Some of his experiments he went into knowing full well the outcome.

While taking notes he propped his head up with is other hand, elbow anchored to the desk. The pen slowing at times only to speed up when the doctor came back too. It was ridiculous a creature such as himself needed rest of a sorts still. Even he could only go so many days without sleep before his body demanded it. His head finally fell to the desk and he didn’t even feel it. Dead to the world for a time.

Lucien was usually a light sleeper, but as it was it took much longer for the vampire to stir in the least at the entrance of an intruder into his lab. The other giving much more time then he should to look around the place and Lucien’s things. The doctor did finally stir, silently raising his head to regard the back that faced him. The vampire was up and next to the other in an instant. “May I ask what it is you think you are doing?” Lucien’s tone empty as his features giving no clue as to what he was thinking of feeling in the moment.

Conall slowed to a walk as he neared the edge of the forest that would take him back onto the cultivated grounds of the castle. He’d just run a few hard laps around the perimeter of the extended grounds at full speed and was now catching his breath, preparing himself to go back into the hell that was starting to look not so much like hell which made him extremely on edge.

Thoughts of heat week, Aiden, and Rune were still on their own run around his head but the scent of a familiar man, brought to him by the gentle breeze, pulled his attention instantly to his left and a small smile pulled at his lips in anticipation.

“Jaden!” he called out as soon as the hybrid came into view and he changed directions, heading towards him, smile growing wider, “What are you doin’ here?” he asked almost absentmindedly as he took in a deep breath of the man’s scent, trying not to be obvious about it and likely failing quite spectacularly. @jadenthehybrid

Charlie had been attempting to bake something, but with how...off it was looking, the dragon had just kind of given up. Instead, he’d grabbed one of the spoons and pretended it was a microphone, singing along with the music he had on until a familiar voice spoke behind him. Charlie turned, raising an eyebrow at his master. “What’s it look like I’m doing?”

The first thing Hunter did once he made his way to the party was track down Jaden. It had been far too long since he’d even seen the hybrid and he was craving him. Badly. As soon as he saw him, Hunter made his way over like he was on some kind of mission and immediately pinned the slave against the wall, hands above his head before capturing his lips in a hungry kiss. “It’s been a while,” he growled softly.

Scorpio, Mars, 12th House

Scorpio - What are your character’s passions?

Kinda weird, but Tor loves poetry. He’s a passionate poet who would write tons of poems for his lovers, using the best words he could think of to praise his loved one and tell the stories of people around him. He isn’t the best one but he still keeps trying.

Mars - How does your character express their anger?

In the past, he would just beat the eff out of random strangers but for the past ten years he would keep it inside, try not to be so loud but still raising his voice when he talks, sometime burst in his tears when he’s extremely angry, and cool himself down with mediation. He tried to be less furious (but seems to be not so good at it). Tor might said nothing but imagined how to make that person the most miserable in every way he could think of.

12th House - Is your character spiritual? How important is spirituality to them?

He’s SOOO spiritual a man could be. He has a strong belief and is a devoted norseman. It’s the part of him and would literally sacrifice himself for the gods if needs to.

“I could say the same about you, sweetheart,” Hunter purred with a smirk as he looked Jaden over, his eyebrow arching a little. “Mostly in my suite. Fucking slaves into submission.. y’know, that kind of thing. You look good, castle’s been treating you well,” the vampire murmured as he moved in a little closer to the hybrid, his dark eyes never leaving Jaden’s.
