A JadeSil piece I made for an exchange :)
I love JadeSil tbh, Jade certainly is mischievous about the whole thing. But I think he thinks Silver is fun and interesting. Like Silver is weird and kinda deadpan most of the time, and incredibly sincere. Silver just gives up information freely, compliments people, and helps other without compensation. Kind of crazy in the scheming world of NRC students.
But eheh Silver also indulges Jade in his mushroom interest, and I like the idea of them hiking around together in the forest/mountains. Silver can easily keep up with his childhood of survival training, and Jade might be fascinated with Silver's skill. And i'm sure they'd share information about nature to each other. Silver has more practical experience that he's had to learn. Jade has a lot of like book and info gathering experience on his interests.
Plus Silver being a guy who just believes that Jade's intentions are genuine?? And Isn't one to immediately assume suspicion?
Of course, Silver isn't stupid. if trouble happens, he can take care of himself. Jade just isn't that much of a threat to Silver, I feel.
And I think, with Jade scheming to get close to Silver, Silver would feel like he's making a good friend. and the closer they get, the more happy Silver would feel about making a genuine connection. Jade kinda finds that delicious. They both can feed into each other, with this burgeoning connection. Ultimately, I think they grow a sincere relationship. Jade may be tricky and still his weird little self that loves pushing buttons to see what happens - But Silver is a fun little treat so Jade will nurture that treat to keep him around as long as possible. On Silver's side, Jade is a lovely individual who gives him delicious food, invites Silver on many fun hangouts, often engages Silver in nice conversations (with lots of questions), and seems to know Silver very well.
