AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ??? 🐦
(longish post, to not take up entire screens <3)
12. What is the worst thing that has happened to your OC? How has it affected their behavior, their health, and their life in general?
It feels a bit like a cliche to say the fall of QT, so. Meathook time. This took place sometime after the events of TBC, just before WotLK for reference sake in the TL. Lorrenar was visiting the ruins of Lordaeron, trying to reacquaint himself with the lands when he was found by three scarlets patrolling the lake between SM and Brill. He killed one guy out of reflex for discovering him, then he was smacked over the head from behind, kidnapped, tortured, healed by scarlet priests only to have it resume.
He was a husk of a man by the time he escaped, given an opening by adventurers raiding the wing close to were he was held captive at. He has since had a borderline phobia developed for humans, despite working with them since on numerous times he seems to be overly weary of them. He's also had a few years of light and physical therapy following said events to gain his strength back, eventually joining service as a member of the Argent Crusade to serve in Icecrown for a while. But.. given he was still in recovery at that point, he was stationed at the tournament grounds.
13. What is something your OC does (to others) that they would not like if others did to them? Are they aware that they do this?
Being snarky and/or passive aggressive, oh my lord. If you manage to get Kel'lastor out of his shell and finds your vibes rancid, he will let you know about it somehow. But also he just, does this in regular conversation like it's the most casual thing to him? Case and point, talking to Wren and immediately getting huffy at the lightest bit of push-back 😭😭😭
He may be SOMEWHAT aware, but he is also just extremely emotionally and socially dense. He does only realize everything after the fact, prompting him to go sulk and agonize for days on end before awkwardly apologizing the next time they'll meet.
32. How does your OC handle rejection?
Menno kind of just.. bottles up whatever he feels after the fact, swallowing it down before springing head-first into work. He tends to work through the motions by tiring himself out until he can't move, he makes extra coin however - and he keeps himself out of trouble. It's only really bad if it happens time and time again, then he starts to engage in his actual Illidari work, seeking out pray to kill before unleashing it in an emotion-driven rampage.
44. Do others consider your OC to be scary or intimidating?
Oh my, they absolutely could depending on the person. I would imagine at the very least people try to not to get on Jaethrin's bad side. She has a scary temper (in Darnassian fashion, yknow?) and generally has little to no care at all in the eyes of combat. Also, she has scary plant tricks and generally looks unsettling upon first glance. BUT, I still think family regards them as just their sibling/child, they possibly know how to get on with Jaethrin enough that they actually see her pleasant side.
Jaethrin's just a wounded cat however, if you approach her with kindness she will generally be nice back. They're just wary, is all.
