Weeks ago my mom asked me kung san ko daw gusto kumain for my birthday. Sabi ko breakfast buffet kasi love ko talaga breakfast tsaka for a change naman. Researching, parang wala ako natipuhan sa mga may breakfast buffet choices, so sabi ko sa classic #JAGxFave na lang na Lamp Post / VFW. And yeah, sure enough, mukha naman nag buffet kami sa dami ng servings! I got the Grand Slam (bottom right), Dad got the Aussie Breakfast (topmost) and Mom had the Blueberry Pancakes. Korean BBQ, anyone? If you're craving some in and you're in the Pampanga, may I suggest Jeju Island Korean Restaurant in San Isidro, San Fernando (near San Miguel Brewery). Service may be slow at times, but the food is so worth it! I love the gochujang chicken and marinated beef, but all offered meats are of superb quality and flavor. A dish I missed from one of favorite local restaurants - the Chicken Peri with Roasted Baby Potatoes of Ü-R.A.C.K. The chicken is tender and flavorful, served with peri peri and garlic sauces. I always switch the sides to the baby potatoes which are loaded in umami 'cos of the mushrooms and bacon strips they're cooked with. Definitely a #JAGxFave. Maligayang araw ng kasarinlan! Pinoy feast courtesy of Choco-laté de Batirol! Isa talaga ang Pancake ni Juan sa mga favorite ko na local food concepts and nag-crave ako bigla after watching Byahe ni Drew kagabi sa YouTube. Kaya eto, napadaan ako para sa after-work merienda. I usually get the Beef in Oyster Sauce, pero this one here is the Pork Floss and Nori, para maiba naman haha.
