You’re too SOFT, too trusting; like most mortals. A shame considering all you’ve been through.”

                                 “You will learn this only when you are at your limit, I fear.” Sliske says it too knowingly, having seen many people pressed too far into changing, becoming hard and jaded from the weight of duty and moral. What’s one more person pressed into the mold of pain these days? “You should have known better than to trust me without any kind of doubt. My HISTORY is more than enough.”

[ STARE ]

          WAHISIETEL APPRECIATED the lingering silence the two shared. There was no need for words, the wooden pipe passed between them along with a bottle of strong whiskey said anything that needed to be. It was the little things, good drinks, good tobacco and good friends that made the Mahjarrat feel at peace. He poured the World Guardian another glass, head tilting curiously as the glass was emptied. Intoxication wasn’t something he was entirely capable of, so watching Jahaan’s eyes get progressively glassier was, admittedly, a little entertaining to watch.

     HE hadn’t expected the other to stand so suddenly, the chair tipping backwards at the sudden movement; the Mahjarrat’s ears perking up at the crash. He watched Jahaan sway slightly, feeling the human eyes pierce him. Such a suddenly stern expression, it caught Wahisietel off guard; neither of them moving for a good few minutes before the Mahjarrat finally spoke up.

          ❝ JAHAAN, ARE you alright? Did I give you too much? ❞ He glanced at the bottle, eyebrow ridges furrowing slightly at the realization that yes, perhaps they had. He could spend the day drinking and feel very little, it was a force of habit to drink until the bottle was empty.  ❝ Jahaan, please go lie down. I will get you some water, but please do not throw up. I just swept the floor. ❞

          SURPRISINGLY, NOT that many. Some, but not many, and all of them were on Freneskae. He’s broken:

Clavicle and scapula (collarbone and shoulder blade) during his first ritual. His opponent bit down on his shoulder and, being an adult vs a child easily bit through the bone and almost completely shattered it. He still has the scar from the bite and still gets pain when raising his left arm above a certain angle. He strongly favours his right because of it, despite being ambidextrous. 

A couple ribs. Mostly from tribal warfare. 

Phalanx (fingers and toes). Hand and foot injury was common on Freneskae tbh. Running and climbing sharp, rocky environments without gloves or shoes meant a lot of pain, especially as children when their skin hadn’t thickened around the areas yet and colder regions away from the lava where exposed skin had far less feeling in it. He was prone to broken fingers and toes pretty often tbh

     A few non-bone breaks/injuries include:

The spur on the back of his heels One of the spines on his lower back. It healed, but the feeling nor movement came back.

There was less chance of being spied on, even if the people of Nardah were not exactly nosey, to begin with. It was risky, yes, but he felt that hiding himself away now would be inappropriate.

     POURING another cup of tea for Jahaan, the Mahjarrat sank back in his chair; wood creaking loudly in protest and his own cup comically small in his hands. ❝ I would have preferred to reveal my true self to you under... better circumstances, but I suppose we can’t always get the things we want. I do apologize for the deception, and I hope this new information has not soured your opinion. ❞

🥃 You can only save one... Sliske or Azzanadra?

          THERE WAS a long pause, uncomfortable as the Mahjarrat eyed the bottle of whiskey in front of him. So far, the bottle remained untouched; having been able to answer any question placed before him. Except for this one. 

          ❝ THEY ARE both far stronger than I am. Our Lord would do everything in his power to make sure Azzanadra came to no harm, even if it meant sacrificing us. He is his champion, after all. As for Sliske... anything that is putting him in a troubling situation, I feel would be far beyond my capabilities. But, if it came down to it... ❞ Knocking the shot glass aside, he popped the lid on the bottle and took a long drink directly from it.

I can't get the icons buuuttttt are they prone to jealousy?

💚Are they prone to jealousy?

          ADMITTEDLY, YEAH. It stems from the male Mahjarrat being defensive of his mate to ensure that her pregnancy goes well and the child survives. His mate is his and no one else will lay a hand on them. If he sees them interacting with someone stronger/more powerful, it sets off the jealousy because it makes him feel like they’ve chosen someone else. The whole ‘you are mine and mine only’ he knows doesn’t fly well outside of Mahjarrat culture, so while he CAN be talked down and out of it, it’s just a sort of default mode he goes into. 

     IF the jealousy doesn’t go away, he’ll probably end up marking his mate in an attempt to deter any percieved suitors. Or scare them off himself. 

     DATING a Mahjarrat is a definite 0/10 would not recommend.

          I FEEL like I could probably do better since everything is still pretty new to me, and I do feel myself stumbling some times with balancing his soft/salt/feral, but I really appreciate it. <3 Thank you.

          HE ISN’T afraid per se, he doesn’t have thanatophobia.  He knows he has no afterlife, it’s not the end result that scares him; it’s ‘how’ that scares him. He wants to be useful to people, to be seen as a reliable person. If he’s going to die, he wants to go out on his own terms. Whether it be battle or protecting someone he has ‘curious fascination’ with. 

     WHAT scares him is the idea of people turning on him, the defenceless feeling of having those that stood beside you throwing you to the wolves. Being spit on and being told that your life no longer matters. I’m gonna use Dimension of Disaster for an example, because it’s basically his worst-case scenario. 

     THE Zarosians are gone. Azzanadra is trapped in the pyramid, Jhallan is frozen, Sliske is...doing his own thing and Akthanakos is under  Enakhra’s spell. The World Guardian does not exist, so they are never freed. Wahisietel has no allies when the Zamorakian’s come for him. Being dragged to the ritual site kicking and screaming as he’s helpless against them. There’s no one to stand for him, his friends are gone. He’s completely alone as his energy is ripped from him and his screams of agony are drowned out by cheering. He ceases to exist, not even his crystals remain. Wahisietel is just a name now, there is no evidence of his life. 

     THAT is what scares him. The pain and loneliness that comes before the eternal sleep that is out of his control. He accepts death if he dies being useful, having people proud of him and remembering his action.
