hey! i know youve seen me in your post! quick question. how do i get more people to refer to me as jackie without them asking why or it feeling awkward? im an afab deminonbinary who goes by she/him so using jackie isnt really questionable, but my dad makes me feel bad about it and friends ive told in the past say its a bad name for me and doesnt fit and ive had one person not want to call me it and use my government name instead because shes "used to using it instead" :(

I would try telling your friends that regardless of whether they think it’s a good name or not, it’s your name and your decision. If they’re really your friends, they should respect that. I’m unfortunately not really sure what else to tell you. I struggle to get family members to use my name too. If I knew a sure way to fix it, I would absolutely tell you.
