Hear Ex-Mayday Parade Frontman Jason Lancaster Collab With Current Mayday Parade Drummer Jake Bundrick On New Song

Great news Mayday Parade fans! Combining a bit of the new with the old, former Mayday Parade and Go Radio frontman Jason Lancaster has just dropped a brand new song featuring none other than current Mayday Parade drummer Jake Bundrick. 

Titled “Good Things Only Happen If You’re Good” and taken from Lancaster’s upcoming six-track solo EP Say I’m What You Want, according to the talented vocalist, the brand new song was apparently a lot of fun to work on. 

“Working with Jake again [on] this was a trip down a familiar and awesome road,” says Lancaster. “I think we laughed more than we worked.”

I’m listening to Mayday rn and Jake’s voice just came up and I got emo because I used to have a crush on him back in my emo high school days and two months ago he DM’d me on twitter asking me to promo his new band on my blog and that was such a wholesome full circle moment for me.

I fucking love mayday.

ICYMI: Mayday Parade’s Jake Bundrick Launches New Solo Project Via Fiori

Being stuck at home with nothing to do can either force you into full-blown vacation mode or motivate you to accomplish things you’ve never done before. 

For Mayday Parade drummer Jake Bundrick, he picked the latter as he decided to launch his new solo project Via Fiori. 

Inspired after co-writing and co-producing Oh, Weatherly’s debut album Lips Like Oxygen, Bundrick’s new side-gig shows you don’t need a fancy setup to create beautiful music.      

“I learned a lot after finishing that record,” he says. “My biggest take [away] from it all was that you don’t need an expensive studio to make good-sounding records anymore. Anyone can make a record in their garage with a little bit of money and knowledge.” 

Giving fans their first look into his new solo material, the talented musician has released two new singles titled “Call To Arms” and “I Need This More.” To check out the pop-punk-leaning tracks while we all patiently await Bundrick’s third single “Don’t Bother,” be sure to look below.
