The 'Terminator' of Plymouth.
Thursday, August 12th, 6:10pm, Jake storms his mums house, Maxie Davison (pictured above) with a pump action shotgun following an argument. Jake shoots the 51-year-old, then left her to die before leaving the property and shooting another 2 people, a 3-year-old girl and her 43-year-old male relative outside. Jake then storms further down the street and kills 59-year-old male in a local park and then kills a 66-year-old woman before turning the gun on himself, just before police arrived at the scene. There is no clear motive for the murders after his mother. Two others were also shot, but survived.
Two weeks prior, Jake posted a video, his last video, on his YouTube channel which has now been taken down. In this video, he rants about how he's "so beaten down in life" and he says "I'm a terminator", he spent 11 minutes ranting about how his life has hit a dead end, as he struggles to attract women or lose weight. His YouTube channel was made up of videos of him deadlifting in a home gym and misogynistic rants in which he claims women are only interested in money and how he hasn't spoken to a woman since he was 17.
He also moaned about getting older, saying "what is there to look forward to? getting f***ing uglier every passing year? There's nothing really to look forward to as an adult, other than getting rich" In one video he said "I missed out on so much as a teenager, I hope I can make up for it. I'm not advocating this, but if I have to, I might use drugs to make it, maybe cocaine fuelled sex or something, maybe that can make up for that missed teenage experience" When asked why he was so down all the time, his response was "Try being an unemployed autistic poor sexually frustrated male with tons of health issues no social circle and being stuck in government housing with my disgusting abusive mother for years on end and having missed out on so much in life and then come back and tell me if you’re not negative."
His Facebook Profile consisted of references to right-wing American nationalism, including a picture of an eagle in front of a stars and stripes flag. It was filled with all of that American stuff along with plenty of photos of himself which were used as profile pictures, his profile also claimed he was born in Arizona however this was untrue. His Facebook has now been removed.
Jake talks about being part of the “black pill” community, which is associated with involuntary celibates or ‘incels’.The “incels” is an abbreviation online for “involuntary celibacy”. The online subculture that involves men who are unable to find a romantic or sexual partner despite desiring one, often expressing hostility and extreme resentment towards those who are sexually active, particularly women. The ‘incels’ also link to other mass murders around the world.
The names of the victims have just now been released (17.46pm UCT+1) The names are, in no particular order, Sophie Martyn (3), Lee Martyn (49), Stephen Washington (59), Maxine Davison (51) and Kate Shepard (66). The response time for the police was a matter of 6 minutes, however, Jake had already turned the gun on himself.
