Soft eyes lingered on Jake for a second before Gabriel went back up to speed, motioning the man to come forward. “I don’t know if you like breakfast so I made coffee.” There was a subtle stench of smoke as Gabe nonchalantly shrugged away the pan filled with water on the stove. “Crazy thing, someone broke in and burned some eggs a few hours ago. Thank God they left.” He mused as he poured two mugs full. “I scared them away though, don’t worry about it.”
