Okay but hear me out. A detective agency specialising in retrieval of lost historical magical items that could lead to catastrophe if loose on the world. Aegis shield? Found it being a frisbee at the park so better bag that up before the park suddenly has more statues! Morpheus’s sands? Shit, why did that dentist have them! Why is that drag queen wearing the heels of Mercury? What do you mean that someone is stealing teeth to turn them into gold? There’s already a pot in our office!

I have been watching Dead Boys Detective and I can’t help but think of Alabaster and Nico running it. We have Al who is a nerd, sorcery geek with cryptic knowledge like Edwin and the eyeliner wearing, sword swinging, heart driven brawn akin to Charles. One day they just met a psychic, Rachel and blonde best friend Jason and hilarity ensues.

It can be Jasico, Jalico, Nicobaster or just straight up platonic. I’m not picky. I just want them to be having wacky Scooby Doo hijinx involving the dead. Who better to run from death than a child of Hades and Hecate themselves.

My Jalico dynamic is basically a manifestation of soldier, poet and king.

We have the guard dog Jason Grace, the literary nerd with a gun Alabaster (he’s basically a ranger druid at this point), and the polite but will kill you and thank you for the chance Ghost King Nico.
