I thought that was extra enough, and that would be the end of that, but NOOOOOOO - ONE birthday party for a 10 year old in the middle of the night is NOT ENOUGH for the NIGHT TOURING GREEN LANTERN, apparently! XD He had an entire SECOND BIRTHDAY PARTY for Gu Zi at 1:00 AM! XDDD

And we got to bring in Jeremy Bent and Vico Ortiz! If you had told me a couple years ago, I’d be working with these awesome folks, idk if I would have believed you.
I am such a big fan of the people we get to work with. I am incredibly grateful and sometimes feel like I have to pinch myself in recording sessions. Everybody absolutely blows me away!

What alternate reality am in holy shit.
So I’m like 6 episodes in on TGCF and now I’m thinking is,

Also Xie Lian’s dubbed voice is like melting butter on fresh flapjacks I could listen to him in a 2 hour long ASMR video!

It’s just the way he speaks. It’s the voice of a devil and I’m here for it 🥰
i'm sorry to bully the tgcf dub because it's just the same racist standards as every other dub but can you imagine being hua cheng's white dub actor and tweet out that you would have been completely lost on how to pronounce shit without your chinese coworker explaining it to you, citing the MAIN CHARACTER'S name as something that was a mystery, and then spelling it wrong? can you imagine basically admitting you did no work or research of your own, and think this is like a cute story where you're uplifting your coworker instead of taking his free labor and stealing a job from a chinese person who's willing to watch a pinyin video.
im not saying this is entirely mr cheek's fault- it's on funimation for refusing to hire people with language experience or pay them to put in the work for language training or to hire a dialect coach or to hire chinese people in more roles like in general but it's so fucking privileged to think that's a cute story like.... ????????
