‘Looming’ wasn’t a word often used for Tim. He wasn’t particularly tall, but he always made himself smaller. Maybe it was a defense mechanism, maybe it came from years of being made to feel lesser than others. But now, in this moment? He... Loomed.
In one hand, he held a flashlight— Fresh from the previous narrow escape from the Doctor, he’d managed to keep it intact. In the other hand is something he’d pulled out of a box just before the doors had opened. A white and black plastic mask. Its features were few: Black around the eyes, small eyebrows, and the lips had been drawn over in black sharpie as well. The holes in the mask looked just a little too low to be comfortable seeing through.
Tim’s fingers tapped against the matte plastic. As the others walked towards the campfire, he stayed behind. His limp was more pronounced, and it seemed like he just couldn’t be bothered to walk much further. Who could blame him? It was his first time.
Things were different. He seemed more pale, his hair looked darker, his eyes looked a little lighter than their normal near-black brown. His facial features had turned a little angrier... well, much angrier. He looked about ready to punch something. He wasn’t paying attention to anything or anyone around him. He twitched at the slightest noise in the trees. Soon enough, in a somewhat hurried motion, he slipped the mask on.
Weird...
