Legendary musician Ray Charles was born 87 years ago today, on September 23, 1930 in Albany, Georgia, USA. His first album, entitled Ray Charles, came out in 1957 -- it was the first of about 60 albums. His final studio album, Genius Loves Company, an album of duets with Gladys Knight, Willie Nelson, and many others, was released a few months after his death on June 10, 2004.
