It's not surprising Ava had admirers in the hospital that were interested. If the show didn't ruin Ava & Rhekker in the 2nd half of the season, they would have been on the show longer and I get the feeling Crockett would have flirted with her too like with the other women.

What if instead of Nate Santana, it was Ian Harding that played James Lanik instead AU?

Torrey DeVitto said she was the one that got Ian on the show cause they're good close friends from Pretty Little Liars. Showed the staff his acting reel, hoping to get him a guest star role. She wasn't expecting for the producers/writers to ruin Manstead in Season 4 and make him her new love interest.

But WHAT IF instead the producers had decided instead given him the role of Dr. James Lanik. (No offense Nate. Just imagining an AU here)

Just imagine it. Gwen Garrett brings in a handsome new Trauma surgeon to be the new chief of the department.

And instead of messing up Manstead, he acted as a barrier towards Chexton getting back together until the end of the season.

Lanik would still find Ava attractive.

No need for a Philip Davis to be created to mess up Manstead.

ESPECIALLY: a different storyline for the hybrid OR where Rhekker isn't ruined and Gwen doesn't take it out on Dr. Stohl to be fired, leading to Lanik to be the new Chief of the ED.

You’re bad at getting up, you always have been. You’re the type of person who ends up hitting the snooze button seven times before you finally force yourself out of bed. Jimmy is used to this, he knows how to counteract it. Usually all it takes is a cup of coffee and a good morning orgasm.

 Today though, today it’s worse because you have your first deposition against Danny and you really don’t want to face the day. His usual tactics won’t cut it.

Already he’s tried to wake you up twice and as usual you’d mumbled something incoherent before drawing the sheets back up over your head.

“Anita…” He drawls your name as he props his head up on the pillow and tugs the covers down to reveal your tired features. “You know how much I love it when your half asleep and talking nonsense but baby, we have to get you up.”

“Can’t we just stay here?” You ask him, half serious. “Can’t we just spend the whole day in bed loving each other?”

For a moment, Jimmy genuinely considers it. He’d love nothing more than to take the next twelve hours out of his day to pleasure you in every single way that he can imagine but the problem is the deposition will still be there tomorrow or next week. As much as you don’t want to deal with it you have to because otherwise Danny wins and Jimmy, he just can’t let that happen. He can’t let that man take anything else from you.

“How about this…” Jimmy barters, his lips brushing over the curve of your throat. “If you get up and into the shower, I will do the thing you like. You know the thing?”

“Jimmy…” You sigh but he’s already pulling back the covers.

“Anita.” He says firmly, his authoritative voice sending a flush of heat coursing through your body. “Get your sweet ass into that shower before I have to punish you.”

Your breath hitches and your skin starts to flush.

“Will you put me over your lap?” You ask him.

“If you put on that pencil skirt and that silk blouse I like.” He says as he ushers you out of the bed and towards the bathroom.

You know what he’s doing. Those are your power clothes, the ones that he knows make you feel like you can take on anything.

“Anything else sir?” You ask with a doe-like innocence that sends a jolt of arousal searing right through him as you linger in the doorway of the bathroom.

“Wear something pretty underneath.” He says with that sinful smile of his. “You know how much I like fucking you in lace.”
