The older man had been proud but worried when word reached him that his nephew had defected from that ghastly organization and fallen off the radar. He'd heard rumors of Aaron being in Europe, but finally after months he managed to track him to a sizeable home in Virginia. He'd gone under an alias, and now stood at the door knocking.
Aaron opened the door, expecting Gemma or Rich or even Mark. He froze when his eyes fell on the man; it had been years. A decade, at least.
After a moment, he reached out, not saying anything he wouldn’t let himself beleive it, not yet. with his life and known associates, it would be stupid to take it at face value. He was searching for traces of supernatural; barringthat, an ulterior motive, though this man had always been goodto Aaron. The best.
After a moment, the hand on th eother’s shoulder tightened and Aaron pulled him inside, tears in his eyes.
"U-uncle James," He said, trying to keep his voice from tremblling. "I never thought- It’s so good to see you. you don’t even know."
