Rip Jim Prigoff

James Prigoff was there documenting graffiti before many of you were born or just little tikes. He was there at the beginning in the 1970s and knew all the artists. It was mutual respect.

He wrote this book, Spay Can Art with his friend that became the Bible of the times.

We don’t have a photo of him. However I ran into him several times in the last 10 years. I enjoyed a beer and chatting with him at The Roxy where we watched a documentary about the CBS Crew.

Farewell Jim. You left memories and a legacy.
