“The stars were so beautiful that night. Objectively I suppose they’re the same now, but it doesn’t feel like that? Do you know why? I don’t.

“Perhaps memories I’ve since linked to the sight? Like the night I was crying, and went over to your house? Or the time I had to trudge home after that fight? The stars weren’t pretty then, just a means of seeing my way. Now they seem a neutral being, there for eyes of all kinds.

So I'm in bed, coughing up my lungs and I ended up writing my first ever BTR story. It's a James drabble. I'm kind of nervous to post it though. Would anyone actually read it? Do I even want anyone to read it? It's not dirty or anything, I don't think, but... yeah. ?

Halloooooo! It's me once again, Lemon! So I heard you guys are in need of James stories and such? Well, here you have it!

So basically, this is an imagine. And in this situation, you've been secretly crushing on James but he never notices you more than a friend since you've also been helping him get other girls you think are better than you.

Well, here's the thing. To whoever is reading this, you are always good enough.

“It’s over then!” The blonde girl rudely shuts the door on your best friend James, he scrunches his eyebrows at this and screams back at her, "You bet it is!" He leans on the wall, crying. You poke him on the shoulder, "James, it's okay. Let's go." He looks up to you and you help him up to the elevator.

You glance at him, unsure. “James, forget her.” You lift your chin up to see his teary eyes. You wipe it for him, gazing at his clear hazel eyes. The elevator stops at the 7th floor. He walks sluggishly to your apartment and you unlock the door for him. He lays lonely on the couch as you offer him lemonade.

“Hey, (Y/N)” He stares blankly at an empty wall. You keep a bit of distance away from him, “Yeah?” He suddenly sits up straight and tells you to sit beside him. You sit as he strokes your hair, tears still in his eyes. “Why does this keep on happening to me?”

You click your tongue and fix your seated position to talk to him. “James, it’s just that-“ He cuts you off with yet another complaint, another question he seeks for an answer. “I mean, I’ve been truthful to every single one of them. I did everything I could. I wasn’t afraid to show the world I love them. But why does this keep on happening?”

“James, it’s not you. It’s them.” You explain to him, worried. He’s been your best friend ever since and you’ve always been helping him get the girl of his dreams, even if, you secretly wish to be the girl of his dreams. But you’ve always thought of yourself never good enough. You always thought he’d never notice you more than a best friend.

“No! It’s me, I’m horrible, I annoy them. Maybe I talk too much, Maybe I-“ He reasons, you get pissed off at this nonsense that you stand up, throwing a fit. “Shut up! You’re not all that! You’re amazing, you’re the most caring guy I’ve ever met and you’ve always stuck up to me! I can’t believe you fall for all these stupid girls who never see what’s inside you! Not just your fame and beauty! I mean, you’re-“ James stands up to cup your cheek and kiss you.

You were left in complete silence, no word uttered. It was perfect. This was something you’ve always wished for but never thought would happen. You pull away, completing your sentence: “You’re everything to me.” He smiles at you and holds you by the waist, “You never told me this. Ever.”

You giggle a bit and run your hands through his dark disheveled hair. “I was really scared you’d not feel the same way.” He snickers, “Why not?! You’re silly! You’re beautiful, you’re trustworthy and I know you won’t treat me like crap like those other girls.”

Both of you then spend the night at your personal flat, forgetting the whole world around them and only thinking about both of them for once. You finally got what you wanted and James also got what he’s been waiting for his whole life. You got each other.

A Night on the Beach - James Story

Your doorbell rang at about 5 PM. You wondered who it was. You opened the door to see your boyfriend James.

“You’re a little early” You say with a smile. You move aside so he can come in.

“Hi!” You roll your eyes.

“Fine. Hi” You say in a strait face.

He pulls you closer. He holds your back and he looks at you. “Looks like somebody is having a bad day.” He smiled.

“No. I’m not” You smiled “Just give me time to finish?” You ask him. 

“i’ll just wait here.” You went upstairs to pack your stuff.

It was your 2 year anniversary. He was taking you to the beach, like you always do. But you felt this one was different. 

You wore your swimming wear, tank top, high waist shorts and flip flops. You went downstairs and saw him looking at your pictures.

“You look really cute when you were little” He smiled.

“So you’re saying that i’m not cute anymore? Just when i was little?” You tried not to smile, you fold your arms and raised an eyebrow.

“Really?” He said while laughing, “We need to go now” He looked at his watch

“Did you bring a beach blanket?” You asked

“Of course!” You both smiled

You got in his car and he drove you to the beach. It was really crowded. You wondered why.

“Wow. There is like to much people in here.” You looked around

“I know. It’s a special night” He looked at you. You looked at him with a confused face.

“Why is it a special night?” 

“Well, there are going to be fireworks here. So tha-” You cut him off

“That’s why you brought me here?” You said to him

“Yup! Good girl!” He patted you in the head.

You get your spot and settle down your stuff. You decided to go for a quick swim.

“Wow. The water is really cold” You hold both of your shoulders. 

James goes to you and hugged you “Still cold?”

You smiled and turned around “Yes.. haha” 

You got out of the water and James followed. You put on your top and shorts. You rubbed your hair dry. You sat on the beach blanket and looked at your phone. 

“Hey it’s like 6:30. When will the fireworks start?” You frowned at him. 

“It will start soon. Wanna have dinner first?” He stood up and offered you a hand

“Yes please. I’m starviiiing!” You reach for his hand and stood up. 

You had a quick dinner. Went back to the beach, sat down and waited for the fireworks. James noticed you with a glum face.

“Hey what’s wrong?” You lifts your chin up

“Well, i know every anniversary we have or any special occasion we have, we go to the beach. And, I love it! But, you know there’s gonna be some fireworks tonight, and there’s to much people. I just wish we could move more. Not being surrounded with people that will judge your moves.” You say to him with a little disappointed face. 

“I’m sorry. I just wanted this night to be remembered. i heard that there will be fireworks so, i brought you here. If you don’t like it, we could go to other places!” He say with a sad look.

You smiled “it’s okay! I love it. Just, didn’t expect it! Don’t worry! It’s perfect!”

James stood up and dragged you to the other side of the beach. Where there’s no people, dark and no can possibly hear you unless you scream loudly.

“What are you doing?” You say

“You said you don’t want to be surrounded with a bunch of people.” He smiled “We can still watch the show” 

You pulled him to a coconut tree beside you. He knows where this is going. You pinned you on to the tree and started kissing you passionately.

Sure, it wasn’t the best place to have your 2nd anniversary, but hey, you loved him!

You continued kissing. then you hear loud roars of the crowd. You broke the kiss and look at them. You saw them look up in the sky. Fireworks.

“Wow” that’s the only thing that escaped your mouth.

You turned your back to him. He wrapped his arms around you. You leaned back and tangled your hands with him.

“Thank you for this wonderful night!” You said looking up to him.

He kissed your forehead “Don’t worry. Next time, you’ll be surprised”

James Story 7-30-11

#imagine that it’s a bright sunny day in L.A. You and your best friend are roaming around L.A. and decide to go into your favorite coffee shop.  You cant decide what you want, since its only 11 AM and you and your friend had breakfast earlier, but you guys are in the mood for drinks.

You: Ill have a small iced coffee

Friend: I’ll have a small iced tea, very little ice

Cashier: Thank you, that will be $5

You and your friend pay and wait for your drinks to be served. In the meantime, the two of you are engrossed in conversation about how much you love LA and cannot wait to meet famous people. All of a sudden the barista calls your numbers and you two go up to receive your drinks.

?: I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there. Please let me buy you another one

You: Haha, its ok, don’t worry about it. It’s all good

?: Really, I want to make it up to you, please let me buy you another drink. My name is James

You: Hi James, I’m (YN)

James: Again, I’m so sorry (YN)! What did you want, let me make it up to you…

You: Again, don’t worry about it, no use crying over spilled milk. I had a small iced coffee, but please don’t worry about it.

But before you could protest any further, James already ordered your small iced coffee with his medium soy latte. You know he’s James Maslow from Big Time Rush, but you want to play it cool, like you’re not a fan.

James: Here you go, hey, why don’t you and your friend come sit with me and my friends. Lets make it a party.

You: Sure, (your friend) do you want to sit with him and his friends? He seems really nice *meanwhile you give her a look saying please say yes, you know who they are*

Friend: Sure, I’m up for meeting new people, let’s go!

You, your friend, and James go and sit with James’s friends, who you know are Logan, Kendall, and Carlos. He introduces you to them and you pretend you’re meeting them for the first time, even though you watch them on tv every afternoon and listen to their songs everyday.

James: So (YN), where are you originally from?

You: Well, I’m originally from NY, but (your friend) and I moved to LA recently to go to college and possibly get into the music career.

Carlos: NO WAY!, WE ARE IN THE MUSIC CAREER

You: *you pretend you don’t know this answer* Really, what do you guys play?

Kendall: We sing in a band, called Big Time Rush. We also have a tv show where we play the characters.

You: Ahhh I think I heard your song on the radio, Boyfriend right?

Logan: Hah yes, it is pretty popular these days.

James: It’s actually one of my favorite songs we have recorded so far.

You: Really, I think its pretty catchy. *Meanwhile the song is stuck in your head, and you cant stop thinking about the lyrics*

Your Friend: Oh (YN) , why don’t you show them your talent?

You: Uhhh no, not in front of professionals, I’m only an amateur.

James: *stares into your eyes* please, I’m interested in listening to your voice. I’m sure youre really good.

You: Ugh, ok. What should I sing?

Carlos: Sing Boyfriend. Do you know the words?

You: I think I do, but don’t get mad at me if I mess up *you know you’re not going to mess up*

You sing Boyfriend, and you make it seem you’re unsure in some places, but naturally, you sang it flawlessly

James: Has anyone ever told you (YN), that you’re fantastic? I mean seriously, you’re really good!

Carlos: Wow (YN), you have raw talent, you’re really good!

Kendall: (YN) you should definitely look to get a record contract.

Logan: I agree!

You thank the guys for their opinions. You’re extremely happy they think you’re amazing.

Logan: Guys, I think we need to get back to set, the producer just called, they want to film our next scene.

Carlos: Man, that sucks, I want to chill with (YN) and (your friend) more!

Kendall: Im exhausted, we were on set till midnight and we didn’t even get home till at least 1 am.

James: (YN), This sucks I have to leave, but can I get your number, and maybe we can chill later, possibly go out to dinner and maybe a movie?

You: Yes, of course!

You two exchange numbers, and you hug everyone goodbye, but linger on James’s hug. He smells so good, and you’re happy your clothes smell like his cologne for the rest of the day.

Later on, you get a text from James:

From: James -To: You

Hey (YN), We just got off for the day, how about you and I go out to dinner and possibly chill. I know some great places you would totally love

From: You –To: James

I’d love to :) What time?

From: James-To: You

How about 6:30, I’ll pick you up… You said you live at (your address) right? See you soon.

It’s now 4:30, you have plenty time for a shower and a freak out sesh. Like common, you FINALLY get to date the man of your dreams, who wouldn’t freak out! You take a nice shower and decide to wear a pair of your favorite denim shorts and your favorite v-neck t-shirt with a comfortable pair of sandals. You put your hair in a French braid and a headband. You make sure you wear your contacts so you can wear your brand new pair of Ray Ban aviator sunglasses. After you’re all done, you see the clock says 6:28. James will be here any minute.

*Door bell rings*

You: Hey James! I’m all set to go, cant wait to see what you have in store for me!

James: I’ve been looking forward to this all afternoon, let’s go!

James drives you to his favorite Italian restaurant in the heart of LA. You notice the sunglasses he’s wearing.

You: Hey James!

James: Oh my gosh, hahhh (YN), we have the same sunglasses!

You: I know, what a coincidence. That means we were meant for each other! *sarcastically*

James: *sarcastic back* I don’t know how I can live without you in my life.

Over dinner, you two get to know each other a lot more and find you two have similarities. You both are Jewish and he’s also originally from NY.  You two have a great time at dinner, and you just don’t want it to end.

James: Hey (YN), listen, do you want to do something more after? I figured we could go back to my place and watch a movie…

You: Yeah, I really want to hang out with you more! Sure, lets go to your place. Under one condition, no scary movies. I hate nightmares!

James: Don’t worry, no scary movies. Would you settle for something funny?

You: I’d love that! They always say, laughter is the best medicine.

James: So it is

James all of a sudden gets a phone call from Kendall. He excuses himself and goes to the bathroom to take the call. Kendall puts all the guys on the phone and it becomes a 4 person conference call.

James: What do you want?

Carlos: We want to know if you asked (YN) yet to be your girlfriend, we all know how much you like her.

Kendall: James, its so obvious. I’m glad I asked (YN) and (your friend) to sit with us earlier, she’s so genuine!

Logan: Good luck buddy, I’m rooting for you!

James: Thanks guys, I’m so nervous. I don’t want to rush into things, but then again I do.

Logan: Do what you feel is in your heart. You’ll never regret it!

James hangs up and goes back to the table, he pays for you and you both leave to go back to his place. You notice he doesn’t live that far from you, and you feel so happy you can always walk to his house if need be.

James: (YN), make yourself comfortable. I’m just going to go change into something more comfortable and make us some snacks and grab us some drinks.

You: Can I borrow a pair of sweats? I want to feel comfortable too.

James: Of course

You follow him to his room and you are in awe of how nice it is. You see a lot of pictures of him and his family and him with the rest of BTR. You get a soft spot for him and his love for his friends and family. He gives you a pair of sweats and he changes into a pair of sweats and a tshirt while you change from your jeans into sweats. You feel so comfortable with him, you never want this night to end.

James: Hey (YN), I was wondering if I could be honest with you?

You: You never have to ask…

James: Ok, *deep breath* I felt an instant connection with you earlier and having dinner with you made me feel more connected to you than ever.  I already trust you, even though we just met. You’re so beautiful and so funny, theres no possible way I could ever stop looking at you, or laughing at your jokes. I like , no like is too weak of a word. I love you (YN) and theres nothing you can do about it now.

He takes you in his arms and you look into his eyes

You: *deep breath* I got to be honest with you too. I’ve always had a crush on you. I knew who you were at the coffee shop, and I’m sorry if I’m going to come off as an obsessed fan, but I always watch you on tv and listen to your music all the time. I cant believe I finally met you today, and I got to know the real you, not James Diamond. And I have fallen in love with the real you, and today has been one of the best days of my life. Please, don’t be mad.

James: *laughs* that’s quite some confession. But it’s all cool. It doesn’t make me feel any way less towards you than I did before. I feel I can trust you more because of your confession. I had a feeling you knew more than you were letting on. I mean, common, you knew all the words to Boyfriend.

You: hahh yeah, I figured that would give it away. Ok, can we go snuggle and go watch the movie?

James: Yes! But, I want to do something first.

He pushes you onto his bed and as he hovers over you, he starts to kiss you passionately and romantically. You kiss back just as much and you don’t want to ever stop.

You: Wow, Im speechless.

James: Hahh, ok let’s go watch the movie.

You and James watch the movie and you two laugh until you cry. Once the movie is over you two start to feel sleepy, so James picks you up and carries you to his room. He gently places you on the bed and he cuddles with you.  He serenades you with Worldwide as you start to drift off. You fall asleep quickly and dream the most happiest dream you’ve ever felt. But then you realize, your happiest dream has come true!

Its 11 AM and the two of you wake up at the same time. He kisses you and you realize you were in his arms all night long.

James: I don’t think I asked you this last night, but I was wondering if I could be your boyfriend.

You: *sings* ‘Cause I’m looking for a boyfriend, you see that. Give it time, you know you’re gonna be there’

James: haha very funny, so, whats your answer?

You: I want to be your girlfriend!

This is a start to a beautiful relationship :)
