2015 NFL Preview

The 2015 NFL regular season kicks off tonight and Wasserman now proudly represents five athletes in the league: Andrew Luck of the Indianapolis Colts, Ryan Hewitt of the Cincinnati Bengals, Josh Lambo of the San Diego Chargers, James Vaughters of the Green Bay Packers and Kasen Williams of the Seattle Seahawks. Here is a preview of what to expect from each of them this season.

Heading into his fourth year as the Colts’ starting quarterback, Andrew Luck is poised to build on his remarkable success over the last three seasons and further cement himself as one of the NFL’s elite quarterbacks and all-around players. The 2014 season proved pivotal for Luck, who surpassed the Colts’ franchise record for passing yards in a single season, previously held by Peyton Manning. He also became the 8th quarterback in NFL history to throw for 40 or more touchdowns in a single season and broke the NFL record for the most passing yards by a quarterback in their first three seasons. Over the past three seasons, Luck has only just begun to scratch the surface of his potential in the NFL and promises to be one of the top players in the league for years to come.

Ryan Hewitt returns for his second NFL season as a starting hybrid fullback, halfback and tight end for the Cincinnati Bengals. As a rookie last year, Hewitt was ranked the fifth best fullback in 2014 by Pro Football Focus and from Week 9 through the end of the regular season, Hewitt ranked second behind only Pro-Bowler Bruce Miller. He also recorded seven receptions for 68 yards over the five final games of the season as a tight end, doing so on just 10 attempts. After a solid rookie season, Ryan Hewitt is on track to become one of the NFL’s top hybrid fullback, halfback and tight ends in the coming years.

The San Diego Chargers’ rookie kicker Josh Lambo has taken an unconventional path to the NFL, having first been drafted to Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas as a goalkeeper at 17 years old in 2008. Lambo was previously represented by Wasserman’s soccer group during his time in MLS. By 2012, Lambo had moved on from soccer and took up kicking when he returned to finish school at Texas A&M. Lambo had never played football growing up, but found success on the field for A&M, making 21 of 25 attempts over two seasons with the team. After just two seasons of college football, Lambo will be the starting kicker for the Chargers, playing in his first game this Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

Rookies James Vaughters of the Green Bay Packers and Kasen Williams of the Seattle Seahawks are beginning their NFL careers on the practice squads of their respective teams and are developing their skills in hopes of making their mark on the NFL in the coming seasons. Vaughters and Williams were standout players for Stanford University and the University of Washington, respectively, and will be two players to watch as they start their professional football careers.
