I love James Wan's directing in the Conjuring. So good.

James Wan does horror so well. Horror movies can be so bland, have boring plots, rely on jump scares, and have lazy directing. I’ve never seen that in the horror movies James has directed. He always finds ways to direct a scene so it’s on another level from other horror movies. The obvious example of that is the basement scene from The Conjuring scene. It’s just horrifying to watch, and not because it just had a bunch of jump scares.

I love horror movies, so I’m happy to have so many good horror movies coming out lately.
