The abrupt and rather rude suggestion from Captain Fitzjames had Harry taken aback. He blinked twice, tilting his head back just slightly, shocked and a bit put off. Still, he stood his ground on the matter, quietly resolute. He only briefly looked away from James, but his eyes returned to him and focused quite clearly on the other man. Quiet he may be, perhaps unassuming, but he was no shrinking violet. Truthfully, he could not judge the other man for the outburst, nor blame him for the stresses of leadership of a rapidly dwindling crew.
“If you are feeling unwell, Captain, I would be obliged to assist and I would never say a word to anyone on the matter. That is my only intent.”
