There was a faint cry coming from behind one of the walls. Ana had heard it, but not really paid much attention to it until that moment. The cries were rather desperate. With her blue eyes, Ana looked around. She did not know really where the cries were coming from; she'd just have to search.
Her feet wandered around the quad that set itself within Star Fleet's HQ. Soon enough, she came to a wall. Looking over the waist high wall, Ana saw a clothed sausage like shape. That had to be where the crying was coming from. Ana would need to give it further inspection.
Pulling one part of the blanket down, Ana saw the little button nosed face of a young baby. A frown had descended upon her brow. Why was the child there? Where was the parents? Ana couldn't leave the child there. She quickly picked it up within her arms and cradled it. She wandered in to the building and began to make her way to her quarters which sat beside Jim's.
The child soon began to cry once more. Ana stood with her back to her door as she gently bounced and rocked the child within her arms whilst attempting to get it to sleep. She just hoped no one else heard her.
