This fabulous coat was described in the 𝑮𝒍𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒓: 𝑭𝒂𝒎𝒐𝒖𝒔 𝑮𝒐𝒘𝒏𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑺𝒊𝒍𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝑺𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒆𝒏 exhibit as: “Male three-piece suit consisting of frock coat in pink silk faille embroidered with horsehair applications, soutache, and pink chenille; waistcoat in iridescent pink taffeta, pink moiré breeches. Jabot and wrist cuffs in silver lace and pink satin ribbons.” It was worn by Donald Sutherland as Giacomo Casanova in the 1976 𝑰𝒍 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂 𝒅𝒊 𝑭𝒆𝒅𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒐 𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊 (𝑭𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒊𝒏𝒊’𝒔 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒗𝒂). It was reused, likely with a different waistcoat, and far fewer frills in the 2006 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒆 𝑨𝒏𝒕𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒆, where it was worn by James Lance as the hairdresser Léonard.
