Kieran was thankful he managed to find an open bar the week after he returned to Wilmington. Being mindful, he knew things were still trying to return to normal and people were still assessing the damage that had been done--but there was one thing most adults could agree on: alcohol was a perfect distraction. He walked into the bar tonight with no other plan but to drink a few and drive home, nothing too wild for him. But, the bar seemed a bit rowdier than normal, which was unusual. Kieran pushed his way through the crowd to make his way to the bar, ordering himself a drink and taking a seat. He sighs heavily, rubbing his hands over his face before turning to his left. And then, he almost has to stop himself from slipping out of his chair.
Kieran was a stranger to flirting with men he found attractive, it was quite a regular occurrence for him. But, he just wanted someone to talk to tonight--why not a cute guy? He approaches the man once his friend, a tall female, disappears into the crowd, trying his best not to look like he was seeking him out. He didn’t know what he was trying for, but it had been so long since he found himself in this setting--in this kind of situation. “Uh, hey. Looks like you’ve had a rough week--let me buy you a drink?” Kieran asks, hoping he wasn’t embarrassing himself.
