“There has to be a rule though. No straight people kissing around me. Got it? That’s disgusting. Ewww.” Jaq shuddered. “Now can we go do something fun? This was sooooooooo fucking borrrring. None of the guys would flirt with me.” he pouted. “damn straight people.”
“Wafflehouse?” she asked between kisses with her new boyfriend. “They’ve got the chocolate chip ones on a blue plate special.”
“yeah, sure. fine. But I want a red plate.”
“alright jaqqi. whatever you want.”
“I can’t believe you chose me!” Andrew finally found Jamie after her difficult discussion with Hadley, and pulled her close, still not quite believing it was him and not any of the other guys she’d ended up with.
“How.....how did you know?!” she hadn’t told him. Didn’t know about Jaq’s little surprise for him.
Andrew laughed. “Jaq told me.”
Jamie flopped down on the seating next to Jaq in the big TV room. “What the hell Jaqqi. Why did you ruin my surprise!? Not cool bro.”
“I had to. He was the only one I liked. The rest weren’t any fun, and I was scared you would change your mind at the last minute. I had to.” Jaq defended himself staunchly. “I couldn’t let you fuck it up Jams.”
Jamie just rolled her eyes. “Fine, but you OWE me.”
Jaq, putting on a very serious business voice that he’s heard on TV or something. “So son, do you know why I’ve summoned you here today?”
Andrew, just looking confused. “um, no? Is Jamie okay? Has something happened??”
Jaq wolloping him with a pillow out of nowhere, completely excited and unable to hide it anymore “YOU WON YOU MORON!!!! YOU WON!!! SHE CHOSE YOU!!!! WE CHOSE YOU!!!!”
Andrew, pulling the other pillow off the bed and defending himself as best he can while he’s laughing and hoping beyond hope that Jaq’s not just messing with him. “What??”
Jaq tossing the pillows aside and pulling Andrew into a huge hug. “Welcome to the family Moron! Jam Jar chose you!!”
“so?”
Hadley didn’t even look up at her. It was the final day, when Jamie would choose who she wanted to spend the rest of her life with. He was scared.
She spoke softly, but didn’t drag it out. “I chose Andrew.”
He scoffed a bit. “why should I even be surprised. Not like we didn’t get so close. I love you Jamie.”
“we had fun. It’s been an awesome ride, but sometimes, well. the wave goes flat, you wipe out, you go to bomb a big hill and well, it doesn’t work out and you gotta bail.” she shrugged. “You knew this was a burly when you signed up for it.”
“What?!!” his frustration was starting to show.
“Look, dude. It’s been real, but he’s been my best friend since way back at the beginning of this thing, don’t try to snake him man. He was here first.”
Hadley just threw up his hands. “whatever. I’m done. This is crazy. I hope you have a nice life together. I really do. Why the hell did you even keep me in this thing, I really could have done with NOT falling for you. This sucks.”
Vincent just fell far too far behind and is being eliminated.
Blake: “Of course I’m upset. I liked her from the very beginning. I know I was the first to approach her. The first to make my feelings for her clear. And then she chooses him? and the other guys like him? over ME? I honestly can’t say I understand it. I really don’t. I’m romantic, and charming, and she obviously liked me flirting with her. Yeah, I just don’t get why she’s attracted to these goofballs.”
Blake and Jamie flirted, and flirted and flirted. Constantly. He was always approaching her for a flirt. But in the end, he was just too serious and she’s not the type of girl that can handle all romantic seriousness all the time.
