Like Kit, Jamie also begins developing telepathy down the line, but he’s always been the more patient of the two, and seeks out help to get control of it. He learns how to use it and more importantly how to shut it off. He rarely uses it once he has control, feeling uncomfortable with violating others’ privacy like that.

Jamie doesn't suffer from the violent differences between himself and Humilitas the way the sins do. However it's not because he's clicked with it either. Jamie grew up in a small town where he worked hard and took little credit. Humility is natural to him but claiming to be humble would be a point of pride.

The truth is Jamie's not fighting with this because neither he nor Humilitas think of themselves as special by virtue of well being a Virtue. Humilitas is quite content to let Jamie be as human as he can be.

It should be noted that he is humility, not a moron. Jamie may be a simple kid, but those that grew up in small towns know how to keep secrets close. They know how to protect their own. And they do protect their own. Outsiders are not welcome. ]]
