He laughs, grinning as he hugs her back and nods. "He keeps making commentary about not over-working myself. Thank you for the food."He squeezes her close before letting her go, "How have you been?"

[I’m sorry Jamie, you just got a laugh out of Aaron that’s not at all relieved thank you very much. Naw, it’s pure amusement, through and through.]
I think that was the idea, yeah. Except Gills wants a shot, too. [He arches an eyebrow, only half-teasing.]
[We're not certain you're actually sorry. But oddly Jamie's calming down off his panic. Nobody's dead. He's gotten his first kiss. It's so very.. almost normal.]

[Aaron would be eternally grateful for that whole not robbing him of his pride, seeing as often in life with his Sin it’s been the only thing he had. And oh my God I’m so sorry but apparently that whole not arguing thing is Aaron’s cue to be the cocky asshole he pretends to be so much of the time and shrug a bit, smirk a bit.]
Which could be remedied. [And oops there we go that was some short-lived cockiness, because he’s looking almost startlingly earnest now.] I mean- if you’re interested. We’re. Both interested.Â
[One of them is going to have to get cocky. And we all know that at least in this matter it's not going to be Jamie. He's still convinced Aaron's going to give him a beating for checking out his girlfriend. In a much more polite admiring her for her wonderfulness way. Never mind he's still convinced Aaron's going to beat him up for checking him out. This kiss thing. Could be dangerous. Could be a trap?]

[This is Aaron’s cue to back his way up all the way to the wall. Because leaning on the wall a] looks casual and like he’s not at all invested in this conversation, and b] is instinctive when he’s worried. And. It’s safe to say that under the exterior he’s projecting he’s Pretty Darn Worried.]

She figured you were pretty keen on both’ve us, an’ uh. I guess we’re pretty cool with th’idea of you too? So. [He’s going to shrug like it was nothing, shove his hands in his pockets.]Â
[Jamie manages a quick checking glance at Aaron, just to make sure he isn't going to lose his cool. Jamie knows that position, but he's not going to rob Aaron of his pride, that seems wrong too. At least not when whatever's bothering him probably isn't life-ending. He hopes.]
Wait she... wants. But.
[Oh we're back to looking at Aaron with that confused puppy expression Jamie gets when the world has stopped making any sort of sense.]
I've been told this is hard to believe, but I've never- I haven't. Had my first kiss yet.Â
[Note. He didn't say no. This is not an argument. Just Jamie in lost puppy mode.]

[He’s so not going to ask about him nope nope nope as far as Aaron’s concerned Jamie spelled out his preferences quite clearly already.]
[Nope there's still panicking because Aaron was still trying to kiss him and he hasn't actually decided how he feels about that. So he's going to be the ninja of not talking about it. Since Aaron's not asking.]
No.. cause I'd totally. Understand if you did. And you can't- [Argument number three] date more than one person. Though you know. Kudos to her? I think. I mean a lot of guys date more than one girl but I'm really into feminism, at least that's what they called it back home. Talked about it like some foreign language.Â
[And then there's the fact you tried to kiss me. Note. Jamie's found a great spot on his laptop's password screen to just. Stare. Because his face is starting to turn red.]
[Yeah okay see that could have gone a lot better but you know what fuck it he’s going to react calmly all of the calm he is emanating calm OKAY. Which is to say instead he’s just going to back up a few feet and not succumb to the urge to check if Jamie’s hurt himself.]
She’s th’one who suggested it. [See look he can do rational in fact he’s spent most of his life doing rational. And calm. Calm is a good thing.]
[For what it's worth the worst Jamie's experiencing is a jammed wrist. He doesn't actually bruise that easy. Which should be noted for later events.Â
And it's good that someone is calm. Because Jamie, embodiment of Humility, is having a complete panic attack right there on the floor.]
She.. She did what? But I.. [Argument Number 2] sort of ..like her.. [The I like your girlfriend argument that ends with you beating me up.] But maybe not in that way. She's the only girl who's spoken two words to me and she's brilliant and kind so I could be entirely mistaken. [Nevermind there went the panicking because Aaron's going to kill him.]

[Activate operation dodge gracefully. Which fails and ends with Jamie crashed on the floor and his poor laptop a foot away blue-screening and rebooting. Jamie just stares at Aaron, not angry, but very very confused.]

[Argument number one: They're taken. By each other.]
Jamie? [Cue one nervous Aaron looking both awkward and out of place, fidgetting slightly.]
[Aaron does nervous?]
[Cue an even more nervous Jamie because if Aaron's nervous the world must be about to end. Ha. ha. Just kidding. Except not really. Panic is a go.]
