aurora, denouement, solitude

aurora - what is your star sign and do you think it fits your personality?

My star sign is Aquarius!! I had to Google what the traits associated with the Aquarius sign were and about deceased myself when the results popped up.

My first thought was literally: “Explains why I’m an asshole.” Seriously though. The traits more or less match up with what I’m like. I’m just not one for team projects like it suggests.

denouement - tell me about an ending of a book or movie that you really loved.

SPOILER ALERT

The ending of How To Train Your Dragon: Hidden World!! It made me fucking weep, but I loved so much that Hiccup and Astrid went back to visit Toothless and Light Fury. I love it even more that their were children involved in both sides because the interactions between Hiccup and Astrid’s children and the dragons and the dragon children and the humans was precious. I’d watch that movie a hundred times if I could.

solitude - do you enjoy spending time alone?

For the most part. I enjoy being able to have my own little space away from everyone and the world. It’s really relaxing and refreshing to just have that escape from people when I need it. Though, I do get lonely and need some human interactions sometimes. I struggle to find that balance most of the time so I have a lot of lonely days because I’m too much of a scaredy cat to reach out to people when I need someone to talk to. I’m always afraid I’m going to bother them so I just sit and suffer in silence because I’d rather wallow than annoy any of my friends.

The ending to the short story “The Lottery” by Shirley Jackson is one I think about a lot.
