Kuliir, the Cold Knife - God of Death, Justice, and Winter

Death's job is a lonely one. Kuliir acts as a shepherd, leading souls to their place in the afterlife and giving them the justice they couldn't get in life. They are one of the quieter and gentler gods, and while they don't receive much attention unless someone has died, they are generally well respected. Every area has a different funerary rites for their dead, but it is customary across all of them to leave a silver coin on the deceased's breast to gift to Kuliir in the underworld. 

Kuliir and their brother Akeus are the Soilborn, the children of the Earthmother. Akeus, God of Beasts, chooses a white wolf to spend its life as his favored companion. When one of his companions dies, Akeus sends them to his sibling in the underworld, who appoints them as prized protectors of the afterlife.

It’s been over 400 years since the  Panathenaic War ravaged the continent of Janderia. Ultimately, the North won, and the resulting treaty banned the worship of the Fell Goddess across the continent. Centuries passed in relative peace, and, under the light of the Sun, Janderia slowly healed from wounds, leaving only the vestige in the night to remind them of the past. That was, of course, until the Night of Darkness fell.

Janderia (name change coming later) is a lore/religion heavy celestial-themed campaign about a continent that has a weird relationship with the moon.

some main locations include:

Amos, a northern seafaring nation currently in political turmoil as the King’s children vy for the throne. 

Trobia, a northern nation of frost that prides honor in combat above all else.

Zaspijjan, a desert country with the most esteemed magic tradition in the known world.

Kefrya, the southernmost nation, prided for their innovations in automation.

Nah Belmai, a nation removed from the war and the Sun Church’s influence, that serves as a haven to those who still follow the Fell Goddess.

Smoa Thana, a primordial forest that covers the entire eastern part of Janderia. Druidic city states by the border maintain an uneasy neutrality with the other nations, but anything deeper remains unknown to the rest of the continent.

The Soilborn

The first and true children of the Earthmother, the Soilborn walked the land long before any human. Akeus, God of Beasts and Decay, populated the earth with the first animals, while his sibling Kuliir, God of Death and Justice, took that life away. Together, they keep the natural cycle in order.
