Mariana Timony is back on Bandcamp. She's been back but I think this is the first time I've mentioned her in a while. In the "Best Albums of Spring 2026", Timony contributed many worthy entries, but Spacemoth really got my attention. It's got a Jane Weaver/Gwenno feel to it - again, not my normal fare, but when done well, it's fantastic.

Spacemoth is Maryam Qudus, an engineer at Oakland's Tiny Telephone Recording. She's worked with Toro y Moi, Spellling and La Luz. As Spacemoth, she's toured with Tortoise. Other reviews have mentioned The Flaming Lips, Can and Stereolab as influences.

"Inward Eye" is released by Greenway Records.
