I just felt like this song really fit them. Because as much as it's Jack's feelings for Jann after both their crashes, it's Jann's thoughts towards Jack regarding racing and their win.
They both want to take away each other's pain and trauma from racing and instead have each other other experience joy and success.
(Also on another repressed level, at a certain point I feel Jack wishes he were Jann, to be able to try it all again, but that's a more minor nuance in this edit.)
