My new home for two weeks.
To keep the privacy of my host family, I’ll call this place Dreamwhere in the future. Dreamwhere is a very small town somwhere in Kyushu, in the poorest prefecture of Japan. Some of the neighbors doesn’t even have warm water.
The place I stay is in a buddhist temple building complex. Now I’m alone, in the following days I’ll share my (huge) room with other volunteers and English teachers.
The environment looks marvelous, reminds me a lot on Austria - I had the same feeling a few years ago, when I was in Heilingenblut in August. Mountains, greenery, fast rivers, humidity, old-fashioned houses. I like it so far. It’s going to be tough, but that’s what I came for.
Let me show you around a little bit more...
