“napoleon at the great st. bernard” by jaques-louis david (1801)
I learned a lot from doing this study. Typically I don’t add too many of my own elements into a study like this, but I wanted to push myself to try something new. Obviously there are a lot of areas that need to be improved, but I’m pretty happy with the way that it turned out. I’ve had the idea to re-create “Napoleon at the Great St.Bernard” by Jaques Louis David for about a year now. It took me roughly three months to recreate the masterpiece. I hope you all find it as stupid and funny as I do.
