The trouble is even in his beloved role of Dean , from the later seasons his acting started going down little by little , i see a lot of comments from others how he seemed to phone it in , his enthusiasm had waned or he just thought he could walk it with his fans support . This doesnt sit well for his future projects and it shows when he comes up against more seasoned and well rounded actors , and when a show he lead was cancelled . If you read between the lines of VR , it seems Jensen approached producers etc for the spin off in season 3 of TB but wasnt taken any further . When the spin off was taken up he has a co lead once more . It doesnt scream of confidence from the studios really . Im bot saying Jensen is the only one , im sure Jared could also have pushed himself a little more to get ahead but he had issues that paused that and he values that family time also . My main issue is the utter absolute belief that Jensen is a fantastic all round actor and could be an a lister and the refusal to see his limitations .

Regarding Jared - I'm critical of him as well. Jared could use the guidance of an acting coach because he tends to overact certain things and the acting gets histrionic or silly. He needs to relearn subtle and quiet expressions, if you know what I mean. BUT - Jared is amazing in creating new characters where none resembles another one he played.

Whereas Jensen just offers Dean. And not even a good Dean. Like you said, somewhere along the way on SPN he became a caricature of Dean. And Russell and Mark are just horrible Dean copies. Beau was a Dean copy too but he gets a pass bc he had really good moments. And with this one-trick-pony mentality Jensen doesn't recommend himself as a versatile and serious actor. Nor as a leading man. He likes to sell himself as one but he isn't. I know his stans think he shits Gold and is the second coming and oh how they love to brag how he made SPN the awesome set blablabla. Yeah, he played everybody's darling while he "sicced" Jared to talk with tptb when something was to discuss. He showed how not of a leading man he is with TW. And on CD - he finally was number one on the callsheet but the leader on set? - was Eric Dane.

And for VR they paired him up with Aya Cash - a strong actress and leading material - bc they didn't trust him to carry the show. For which he pushed and pushed. Same thing btw is now happening with Tracker. He wants the Russell spinoff. See a pattern there?

Regarding Jensen being submitted for noms, Jared and Misha have also been submitted as best guest actor in a drama series.

So Amazon just paid the "For your consideration" Emmy fees for pretty much anyone on TB.

Let's be real and honest here - the ONLY actor who deserves to win an Emmy for TB is Antony Starr! He was brilliant from start to finish.

Okay for guest star it would be Giancarlo Esposito. But that's it.

And no, despite being a Jared stan - his acting on TB was nowhere near an Emmy-worthy performance. Neither was Jensen's in s 5. And the spare tire...Well, a Burger Bun has more range.

I hope this doesn't sound condescending or rude to this anon but if so, I apologize in advance! I'm speaking more as a fandom oldie that experienced a lot over the years.

I don't think you can really like any celebrity and expect a saint. The industry is too hedonistic for that (this is my opinion though as someone with zero ties to the industry. But my observation - the higher you climb, the more of your soul you give up. Hologram, you could refute as someone actually in the industry though). Anon said that they were leaning more towards Jared and I looove Jared. I do. But he isn't squeaky clean either. I will let anon do their own research on that bit and make their own decisions.

That isn't exactly fair. We are all responsible for our own actions and mental health. Do I think TW sucked? Yes. And I do think Jared would have struggled with all of that. But placing attempts on Jensen? Unless there's actual proof, that a very harsh thing to say. Jared was diagnosed officially with clinical depression years ago. Jared, through all of it, forgave Jensen for TW and whatever issues they had, seemed to have worked it out. In my opinion, it's a disservice to Jared to think he's some naive kid because he's a very intelligent guy. I genuinely think he thought about his friendship with Jensen a lot. If it turns out years later, Jared admits that he only continued his friendship with Jensen for the sake of conventions and the fans, that is still a choice he made.

Ultimately, the choice is yours, anon and whatever you choose is valid! This is, again, my opinion, but loving Sam and Dean doesn't mean you need to worship Jared and Jensen. They are not infallible and both have done questionable things. Despite being uncomfortable with some of their actions in the past, I have enjoyed their works! I loved Walker and I was sad when it was over. I love the Boys and I can't wait for Vought Rising. Sometimes, that is enough. But if you are looking for someone to idolize, then honestly, neither Jared nor Jensen are good choices.

It is my experience that success simply amplifies who you are as a person. If you are the bitter actor, for example, you may become the entitled one.

I feel like people view Jensen through extreme viewpoints. He's either aggressively loved (so much so people ignore his flaws) or aggressively hated (so much so people can only see his flaws). I'd like to think that I'm a little more neutral. I think he's really charismatic, and I would definitely tune into a project if I knew he was in it. For Jared, I would do the same. I think people also view him in extremes - he's either very coddled by the fandom or viewed as like...the anti christ or something.

I don't know many people that view them with a neutral lens but in a way, I think it shows that they are still in demand. People still talk about them and that is good in the industry. I'd be more worried when people stop talking about them.

You know you are doing something worthwhile the moment you start having haters, it’s true. I find Jared fans are more balanced than your classic AAs. I think the main difference between the two is that Jared has very much earned high respect while Jensen gets it by default. I love both so I wish both the very best life has to offer. I am happy when people can view them in a balanced way because they are, after all, human. They both are charming and they seem to be generous, kind but they also have negative aspects just like any other human being on the planet. I think that when you balance out the negative and positive aspects that is when you can extend true respect to someone, that is when you can appreciate them wholeheartedly.

Where do you keep hearing this? Let me guess, hellers? Both Jensen and Jared are supportive and have shown their full support in the past. As for being sexist, Jensen may view women superficially but I don’t think it comes to a point where he is sexist.

Wow Jared and Jensen is so spot on for sam and dean. Jared was fantastic, jensen I think struggled a little with voice modulation but he captured the 'deanism' perfectly. And Misha has forgotten everything about castiel other than destiel pandering so yeah...

Jared was the closest to Sam but even he wasn't good. Jensen can't even access Dean anymore despit playing various Dean copies on other shows and the third wheel...Not even the Asstiel voice. I feel embarassed on their behalf. I refuse to hype this "performance".

The circled part is what gives it all away what I've said about other Anons I've suspected come my way. These people pretend they agree with what's being said but they are really stans looking to spy and try getting a rise out of their "opponents".

If you are a Stan and want to have a civil discussion, I'm all for it. I will NOT converse with those who resort to bullshit like calling me a lunatic behind my back and giving me ZERO chance to defend myself (you know who you are). I've given this Anon I suspect has come my way before enough room to speak. Cross my boundaries and I'm going to put you in your place, like it or not. I think I've entertained this person enough.

I'm open to any and all points of view... IF you can be civil. As you can see, this person accused me of attacking people's intelligence and personalities, etc. and they twisted my words. As for the content of this ask, when I spoke of a smear campaign, the smear campaign I'm talking about is a certain someone I suspect who is going around trash talking Jared on multiple websites to make him look bad for their own reasons. I'm not gonna name who I think it is directly but I've certainly implied it throughout multiple posts. I have my reasons for believing this I'm not gonna dive into here but I'm gonna address this ask.

No, that book talk post isn't my proof of anything. Way to take my stuff out of context. Also, Jared by the way isn't my absolute favorite celebrity. I happen to post about the Pads a lot because I ultimately enjoy watching things I've called out privately and on here unfold, and it seems I'm meant to post about them at least for now. I'm aware Jared has flaws like anyone else. I think he IS codependent and has a lot of emotional problems he needs to work on more actively. I agree he's given her way too much of what she wants over the years because frankly, he was barely ever home and barely had the time to really deal with it perhaps up until Walker was canceled.
