Jared Moossy is a renowned photojournalist and cinematographer who was critically injured by a drunk driver on September 3rd, 2015. Jared needs extensive rehabilitation. You can get involved starting with $25 contributions. Over 50 photographers have donated limited edition and open edition prints to help Jared raise the funds in support of his recovery.
Reblog and consider giving: The Jared Moossy Recovery Fund (via Indiegogo)
Not so long ago, a close friend of mine and extraordinary photographer, Jared Moossy, was hit on his motorbike by a drunk driver. An illustrious stable of photographers have come together to donate prints to be sold for his recovery fund over the next 30 days.
For all you folk out there who have an affinity with good photography, trust me, you want to see this. Amazing work, made by people larger-than-life to help a great guy. Check it out... Worth collecting, worthy of wall space and for a worthy cause.

This picture is part of the Art Works Projects, founded by Leslie Thomas (an architect turned activist). Art Works uses photography to raise awareness of human rights concerns and spur action. Over the last years it has mounted exhibitions and presented large-scale public slide projections on various themes. It has now published a book of images with accompanying posters and curriculums on the lives of women in Afghanistan.
“My goal is to be the most emotionally manipulative person possible,” she said, candidly. “Then I want to forge an emotional connection and get you to call or write and do something.” (Leslie Thomas)
Art Works Projects is partnering with the Slovenia Press Photo Festival. Projections, print installations, a human rights focused round table, and the launch of a year-long exchange looking at photojournalism and its ability to impact human rights: February 21 – March 31, 2012 at Ljubljana / Slovenia.
